ASCO 2-Way Solenoid Valves:

ASCO’s 2-Way solenoid valves have one inlet and one outlet, and are used to permit and shut off fluid flow. The two types of operations are Normally Closed (NC) and Normally Open (NO). Two types of constructions apply to 2-way solenoid valves, which are direct acting and internally piloted.

With Direct acting constructions, the solenoid is energized, the core directly opens the orifice of a Normally Closed valve or closes the orifice in a Normally Open Valve. The valve will operate at pressures from 0 psi to its rated maximum.

Internally piloted constructions use line pressure to assist operation. When the coil is de-energized (on a Normally Closed Valve), the pilot orifice is closed and line pressure is applied to the top of the piston or diaphragm through the bleed orifice, closing the valve.

ASCO’s line of 2-way solenoid valves include General Service, Hot Water/ Steam, Potable Water and Food Service, Vacuum, Cryogenic and Liquid C02, Air Operated, Proportional, Intrinsically Safe, Low Power, Isolation/ Shielded Core, Long Life / Quiet, Ammonia, Dry Air, Magnetic Latching and Medical/ Analytical. 3-Way Solenoid Valves

These valves have three pipe connections and two orifices. When one orifice is open, the other is closed and vice versa. They are commonly used to alternately apply pressure to an exhaust pressure from a valve actuator or a single acting cylinder. These valves can be normally closed, normally open or universal.

4-Way Solenoid Valves

These valves have four or five pipe connections, commonly called ports. One pressure inlet, two cylinder ports providing pressure to the double acting cylinder or actuator and one or two outlets to exhaust pressure from the cylinders. They have three types of construction, single solenoid, dual solenoid or single air operator

Direct Mount ASCO Valves

Direct Mount ASCO valves are standard 3-way and 4-way solenoid valves whose NPT pipe connections and mounting configurations have been replaced by NAMUR mounting configuration. This allows each valve to be mounted directly to an actuator without the use of hard piping or tubing.

ASCO Valve Dust Collector Valves

The ASCO Valve Dust Collecotr Series are high-flow fast-opening 2-way valves, pilot valves, pilot valve enclosures, and bulkhead fittings that have been specially designed for use in dust collector systems.

Group Mounted

These series are 2-way, 3-way and 4-way 2-position valves that are designed for gang mounting into different quantities of valves. Any combination of normally closed, normally open or universal valves may be grouped together.

Manual Reset Valves

These series are standard 2-way, 3-way and 4-way 2-position valves that use a manual reset assembly in replacement of the solenoid. They are designed to prevent inadvertent valve startup in their designed failure modes. These series are available in no voltage release, electrically tripped, and free handle constructions as well as latched open or latched closed for 2-way valves

In addition to our comprehensive catalog product offering, ASCO has the ability to create customized assemblies. Whether you need a minor modification of a catalog product or a complete flow control solution, ASCO’s trained sales and engineering teams are ready to assist.

General Service Valves

ASCO General Service Valves control the flow of neutral gases. They are known for their long life and fast response time. ASCO General Services Valves are available in multiple mounting configurations.

ASCO Valve Isolation Valves

Isolation Valves
ASCO Isolation Valves control the flow of neutral and aggressive fluids. They key design characteristic of an isolation valve is to isolate the fluid from the solenoid, which is crucial for applications requiring high fluid purity and low dead volume.

ASCO Valve Pinch Valves

Pinch Valves
ASCO Pinch Valves provide the ability to control the flow of a fluid through an uninterrupted flow path. The fluid stays in its original supply tube and is controlled by the opening and closing “pinch” of the valve. Because the fluid never leaves the supply tube there is zero dead volume and no cross-contamination risk.

ASCO Valve Proportional Valves

Proportional Valves
ASCO Proportional Valves control the flow of neutral fluids. By varying the input current you can precisely adjust the valve’s flow rate. This eliminates the need for a variable flow system to contain multiple valves with different flow rates.
