Micromax Photoelectric Sensors For General Applications

Photoelectric sensors detect the distance, absence or presence of an object by using a light transmitter, often infra-red, and a photoelectric receiver. They are used extensively in industrial manufacturing. There are various types of sensors: through beam, retro-reflective, diffused proximity-sensing, opposed, high-power opposed, polarized and non-polarized retro-reflective, laser, and fixed-field and adjustable-field sensing models.

Fibre Optic Sensors

Fibre optic sensors are sensors that use optical fibre either as the sensing element or as a means of relaying signals from a remote sensor to the system that process the signals. Fibre optic sensors are ideal for harsh conditions, high vibration, extreme heat, and wet, explosive, or corrosive environments. Fibre optic sensors do not conduct electricity, they can be used where there is high voltage electricity or flammable material.

Micromax Pressure Wave Switches

Pressure waves switches can be used wherever a reliable switching pulse is required, such as for bus doors, train doors, automatic roller doors and boom gates. The highly sensitive response of the pressure wave system protects people and vehicles from almost all directions. The robustness and durability of the pressure wave switch make it an impressive opening sensor.

Micromax Vehicle Detection

Vehicle detection sensors reliably detect the presence of large metal objects—such as a car, truck or railcar—even when the vehicle is not in motion.

Micromax Laser Sensors

Laser sensors combine the alignment advantages of a visible sensing beam with the increased sensing range of a laser. A visible red light beam allows for easy adjustment to the object. Laser sensors are ideal for applications where small objects or precise positions need to be detected. Class 1 and Class 2 devices are available.

Encoders

Encoders convert a rotary position into an electronic signal suitable for providing input data to a vast range of electronic control devices for measuring, monitoring, positioning and tracking objects. There are two different types: incremental encoders or absolute encoders.

Micromax Ultrasonic Sensors

Ultrasonic sensors use sound waves rather than light, making them ideal for stable detection of uneven surfaces, liquids, clear objects, and objects in dirty environments. These sensors work well for applications that require precise measurements between stationary and moving objects.

Micromax Speed Sensors

Speed sensors are sensors used to detect speed, direction or position of moving ferrous metallic or magnetic objects without physically touching them. Speed sensors offer a reliable, versatile solution to sensing the speed of rotating shafts, gears or blades and can be found in a wide variety of shapes and configurations.

Micromax Flow Sensors

Flow sensors are devices used for sensing the rate of fluid flow and are ideal for use in water conservation systems, storage tanks, water recycling applications and irrigation systems.

Micromax Level Sensors

Level sensors detect the level of substances that flow, including liquids, slurries, granular materials and powders. Fluids become essentially level in containers or tanks because of gravity, whereas most bulk solids pile at an angle of repose to a peak. Combined flow and temperature measurement sensors are also available.

Pressure Sensors

Pressure sensors measure pressure, primarily gases or liquids but they can also be used to indirectly measure fluid or gas flow, speed, water level and altitude.
Safety Light Curtains

Safety light curtains detect the presence of a person’s finger, hand, limb or whole body and are used to safeguard people around moving machinery with the potential to cause harm. Light curtains can be used as an alternative to mechanical barriers and other forms of traditional machine guarding, reducing the need for physical guards and barriers enabling easier maintenance of the equipment or machine.

Machine safety is an essential part of effective operations. We provide a quality Safety Auditing Service, with advice and expertise to enable you to implement appropriate machine safety solutions. Click here to learn more.

Safety Light Grids

Safety light grids detect the presence of a person’s finger, hand, limb or whole body and are used to safeguard people around moving machinery with the potential to cause harm. Light grids can be used as an alternative to mechanical barriers and other forms of traditional machine guarding, reducing the need for physical guards and barriers enabling easier maintenance of the equipment or machine
Safety Relays

Safety relays monitor a safety system, either allowing the machine to start or executing commands to stop the machine. Single-function safety relays are the most economical solution for smaller machines, where a dedicated logic device is needed to complete the safety function. Modular and configurable monitoring safety relays are preferred, where a large and diverse number of safeguarding devices are required.
Safety Controllers

Safety controllers monitor numerous safety devices in a safety system, such as E-stop buttons, interlocking switches, safety light screens, two-hand controls and rope pull switches. Safety controllers form the core of a safety system when building safety circuits for equipment and facilities.
