Description
Kimray High Pressure Control Valves’ (High Pressure Motor Valves)
function can be easily determined by the pilot added to actuate the valve. The pilots act as small regulators performing a specific function, and when the criteria is met, then a supply gas signal is sent to the diaphragm of the HPCV, (HPMV) activating the valve. These rugged valves are designed with a travel indicator between the topworks and the valve. This allows the operator to easily see if the valve is working. It also allows a positioner to be added, making the valve interactive. Take a closer look at the HPCVs Accessories below to see which base will work best for your site.

1″ & 2″ -65 Topworks
Allows a wider spring adjustment range for discharge of liquid or gas from vessels, separators, heater treaters, knockouts and similar liquid accumulators. Allows a finer control when used with back pressure and pressure-reducing controllers. Used as an operator on 1″ HPCV (HPMV), 2″ HPCV (HPMV) or 1″ SMS.

Certificates and Training
Certificate
Kimray has been awarded the API Specification Q1 certifications by the American Petroleum Institute. Kimray provides Material Test Reports (MTR) and Static Pressure Test (SPT) on most of our high pressure, low pressure, low pressure balanced, and three-way valves. These certificates can also be provided on several liquid level controls and pneumatic controls. The following Certificates Kimray provides at no cost: Certificate of Quality, Certificate of Manufacture in the U.S.A., Certificate of Conformity, Certificate of Origin.View All Certifications

Introduction
The Kimray High Pressure Control Valve (motor valve) is designed for controlling a variety of fluids at pressures up to 6000 psig (413 bar) and can be used for the discharge of liquid or gas from vessels, separators, treaters, knockouts, similar liquid accumulators and other areas of natural gas production. The Kimray High Pressure Control Valve comes with a variety of connection types in 1 inch and 2 inch (25 mm and 50 mm).

Stem Travel: 1″ HPCV – 1/2″ maximum, 2″ HPCV – 3/4″ maximum
Working Pressure: 1″ HPCV – 4000 psig, 2″ HPCV – 2000 & 4000 psig
Temperature Range: -20º to 500ºF
Non-Freeze Dump Valve
For the discharge of liquid from vessels where freezing may occur due to high pressure drop. The inner valve is located to utilize vessel heat to help prevent freezing. Recommended for use as a pressure opening valve only in non-freeze applications. Excessive diaphragm pressure would be required for pressure closing service. The -65 allows a wider spring adjustment range for the discharge of liquid from vessels where freezing may occur due to high pressure drop..
Metering Valve
This high pressure metering valve can be used to meter or control flow of liquids and/or gases on meter runs or flow lines, it may be used as a choke under low pressure drop conditions where freezing is not a problem. Used any time a reference control point is required in 64ths of an inch opening.

Piston Balanced (cage guided)
• Piston Balanced Control Valve
• Piston Balanced Metering Valve
Representing more than 30 percent of the sales of all Kimray products, the iconic Kimray control valves are the work horse of the industry. The trademarked design of the High Pressure Control Valve (motor valve) utilizes the simple Kimray valve design with a unique stem travel indicator that can be easily seen by the operator. As with all Kimray products, the HPCV (aka: HPMV) is designed specifically to be used in the oil and gas industry and can stand up to the harsh environments, cavitation and caustic fluids. If you need a valve that can take pressure up to 6000 psig, the HPCV is the answer.
